hi all.

this is yining.

i haven't blogged here in like a year or something. i miss 208 ): i really do.

a new year at VJC has taught me alot of things. and i experience stuff i have felt was foreign before. i have experienced loss, pain, guilt, pangs of sadness etc. VJC is a very different school. i go through many different things. i even start to speak and act differently. but this is only inevitable. this is only inevitable for all of us. change is only inevitable.

as much as i would like to stay in touch with all of you, it is not possible. and all of us familiar with stress, going home just to sit down and do work, and a deprived social life. but don't give up! because have each other. and all of us are in this together. no matter how physically apart we are, we were once eighters. and that bond will never change no matter how many years pass.

i realise people don't treasure other people enough. only with permanent loss, do we start to look at things from a different point of view. why do we do that? there isn't enough time. life is too short for us to neglect what is REALLY important in life. life is not about passing tests, not about getting marks, not about being the smartest. i don't know what life is to you but to me, life is essentially a balance. a balance between work and play. work and play that you can find meaning in. don't monotonously do work and end up thinking back 'what have i done for the past year?' and realising you really have done nothing at all.

we always think we have tomorrow. we always think we have a whole life stretched out in front of us. but do we really?

life is too unpredictable.

but guys, as i've told a few of my classmates, don't stress! you will only be stressed if you convince yourself you can't cope with the workload. but actually, you can. i have alot of work to do. but i'm not stressed. or at least overstressed. there is clearly a line of distinction there.

most of you or all of you are at OBS now. ((: i'm missing that and i'm missing prom and many other things... but i've gained many OTHER things as well.

circumstances have led me to think alot lately. as much as we think death is something that is extremely foreign to us, it is as close to us as the screen is to me now. (bad example but my brain is not working) 'facing death is finding life' my friend says. how true. death teaches us things about life that life itself won't be able to. but PLEASE don't realise these things about life too late.

when you really have no drive and find no meaning in work, SCREW school.

the best things in life are free babes, and nanyang school fees are friggin expensive. (:

apparently i have nothing to do
so yah. hehheh

anyway the holidays are like a hectic one so everyone must jiayous! we will get over it together!hmmm after that we must really treasure the remaining terms or times yah! spend our times wisely together and yah. tsk tsk.

and hmm. im really hyper now cos geraldine and serenelim were like blasting me with memories and excitement of TVB shows, hongkong, hollywood and movies! pple like gutianle, xuanxuan, linfeng and luojialiang!! haha yuhui. =) and leonardo, johnny depp, my catherine zeta jones, angelina jolie, etc etc. TITANTIC, pearl harbour and a walk to remember! omg i wanna cry! hahaha. wheeeeeee. and we were planning to obviously have a movie marathon and pool in money to buy all the vcds and watch till we die or explode the television. yes yes. dun get too excited though. how i love my scv chnl 55. go get everyone. highly recommended. watch shows like the dangfuchenglong and liujinsuiyue first! and make everyone jealous. haha

so everybody lets work hard towards our goals! dun give up cos yah. all your efforts will go down the drain and so on. even if you want to die, think of the times we had with.. erm. ycy or changtsai and you'll feel that all these are just mediocre! we must rawk the school though we already are.. hahaha. but yea. show them what we're really capable of! YEA! n let our names go down history! this is so weird but we can and will do it eh? eighters rawk 4evamore. lalalala.

but of cos my kelly clarkson rawks EVEN more. heehee. ooh geraldine. dun nid to tell everyone tat ure butts aching! ... can buy you a float. cos im buying one for my butt too. ouchies

heyy eighterrx.. let's not cry over ms chia anymore... yar everyone lurves her alot... but there's no way we can bring her back anymore right? it's just too bad we never did cherish the times we spent with her enough... let's take this as a lesson... yes we're sad, we cry... but we have to and we will move on... we'll all just keep ms chia in our memories forever... and when we ever feel like despairing and just giving up science totally.. let's just think back of her and use her as our motivation, our tui1 dong4 li4... forever and ever...

im crying now.. sorry but i cant control myself... because when ms chia was around, i took her for granted and thought she would always be there for us... but when she leaves i start weeping over it... like why didnt all of us just appreciate her abit more when she was around?

maybe we'll still cry abit but soon i believe the bitterness will go away... let's stay strong as a class... nothing can put us down... and we'll remember ms chia forever... our wonderful science teacher who was supposed to be our form teacher...

hey cindrey. what ur experiencing isn't depression leh. it's "i-think- i'm-depressed-but -i'm-actually-not- depressed" that kinda thing. try to see things from a diff view yea? like academically, is it worth slacking? at the end of the day, what u want is a good grade. and when u get a good grade, you'll feel proud!

solution : get homework done the moment you get home. if you don't know how to do, go on the net to find out the answers. if really no hope, go sch copy. HAHA, really what...

(i'm eating now and my food smells nice. tasty beef tenderloin cubes, attractive fried egg with a big yellow yok on the left, brocolli that is unusually green, super white rice. ahhh. anyone tempted? guess not. ahhaah)

about the dance. the pro dancers are really perfect at it, and they also have a job to do! they shall strive to make the imperfect dancers perfect. =D so cindrey, don't worry! i also forgot the dance moves. many others have also forgotten, you're not the only one! we're all in the same boat! everyone's going thru this with you yea... =)

solution : i choose to think like, "ok, i can always learn it tomorrow and i'm sure i will remember it! i will put in more effort!" and you will succeed. but if you choose to think like, "oh no, i forgotten everything! i shall just sit here and cry..." you're gone. so be more OPTIMISTIC! if things turn out really bad, don't worry, because things will always turn out even better if you look on the bright side of life.

CCA. one of the toughest stuff everyone goes thru in life. competitions, tests... they all stress us up, don't they? also, there are times when you perform badly or suddenly lose your pro-ness, you lose your passion in ur cca and ur confidence level just falls down to 0. believe me, i've felt it before. everyone does. there was a point in my np life, when i felt like "oh god, please let me quit np!!!" i chose to see myself as a burden in nynp unit, chose to see myself as a lousy and useless cadet. but however, when things turned out better (as always), i began to see that, "hey! i've got such loving squadmates! maybe np isn't so bad!"

solution : during ur cca life, when you feel like the whole world is crashing down on you, don't give up so easily. have patience, wait, because things will definitely turn out better. do your best, don't set your expectations too high. set ur expectations in the middle first, and when you've achieved that, go even higher. rmb, no one owns ur life. u own ur own life. don't let ur coach drive u to insanity. let ur coach know how you're feeling and that you need time to meet your own expectations before meeting hers. mostly importantly, have confidence! do your thing man! haha. looking on the bright side of life, you should feel thankful as u have such loyal and excellent teammates/cca-mates/ squadmates to back you up all the way! =D!i've learnt, and i'm still learning, to treasure my squadmates, and embrace every moment with them.

cyah! you don't have to take all this in, u urself know what's best for you. plus, i don't know all your full situations. maybe the stuff i wrote above is totally irrelevant to you! sheila here. haiz. let's try to look everything from a new perspective.

chang tsai is nice ok. it's just that she's unaware that what she talks about doesn't really make the class change the way it is. and it's boring, i must admit. [my brain just switches off when she lectures] chang tsai can be irritating, but come on, who isn't irritating? everybody's irritating in their own way right haha =) jkjk..

i think the problem lies with us. if the other classes can do it, why can't we? i think the problem is with me too. i think my attitude really sucks. cuz during lessons, i always slack and dun wanna throw properly and end up giggling like crazy... but i do those things because i'm bored? i know it's really hard to keep awake during chang tsai's class. but let's at least try to do our best la.. i shall try not to throw sloppily haha. =)

about the art teacher. i shall not put myself in his shoes cuz he is plain unreasonable and pessimistic. he's a faggot who is fail-distic [got it from the word sadistic haha... fail-distic means he likes to see people fail] and likes to see people being criticised. here i am bitching abt him but i'm sure every word i've said in here is true. =)

about the maths teacher. the problem lies with us again. i think i made alicia cry. sorry... i didn't mean to. but it seems that u don't really know ur work very well. if u dunno must ask me ma..
come on eighters, the worksheet wasn't so bad... in fact, it was rather easy... just some hard questions to rack ur brains on... dun just sit there and shake leg saying, "ahyo, i dunno how to do. ahya dun do la. tmr pass up." [i'm not pin-pointing anyone haha. =) dun get me wrong!] we shall practise, practise and practise! jia you! =) congrats on our good marks for our 2nd quiz! hooray! =D to the people who didn't do well, jia you k! 2/8 will stand by u! =)

so ur wondering, why does sheila sound like some naggy old hag? i'm just concerned abt 2/8.

i feel that 2/8 is getting slacker and slacker. seriously, i can sense it with my... uh sixth sense? i feel that we need to really focus and stop playing. sure, we can make jokes now and then, but in the end it all comes down to work.

we're getting noisier and noisier day by day haha. [my squadmates from 2/7 and 2/9 always complain abt us to sherin, xue ting and me. x)] well i admit noise is nice, but too much is hazardous! and the next day, 2/8's reputation will be the "noise-pollution class" and the other classes will go, "we need to reduce noise-pollution! kick them out of ny!" haha jkjk, that will never happen. anyway, we're not THAT noisy... right? well not really right... haha...
